Life Cycle Analysis

Through a Life Cycle Analysis is possible to identify environmental impacts linked to the set of steps and processes required to obtain and use a product or service.

A Life Cycle Analysis seeks to encompass the entire chain of production and use, considering the consumption of energy, raw materials, transportation and logistics, characteristics of use, handling, packaging, marketing and consumption, waste production and recycling or final destination.

The main function of a Life Cycle Analysis is to map environmental aspects through the different production stages, with the aim to continuously improve the environmental performance of a given organization.

The Standard ISO 14040 Principles and framework, the Standard ISO 14044 Requirements and guidelines and the Standard ISO/TS 14072 Requirements and guidelines for organizational life cycle assessment are references for Life Cycle Analysis.
